Swimming and Stairs

On Thursday M completed her swimming lessons.  I am so proud of her!  She was supposed to be in the preschool one class, but she was the only one enrolled so they put her with the preschool two class.  Despite being the youngest one, she held her own.  She listened (except for the day that she kept spitting water in the teacher's face...we had to talk about that one :)) and worked very hard.  It was fun to watch her progress.

We went swimming yesterday and I was amazed at the confidence that she has gained in the water.  Granted she has NEVER been afraid or hesitant around the water, but she will now jump in without assistance.  Her back float is looking so much better.  Before she hated her back and wouldn't put her head back.  Now...no problem.  She will submerge herself and she enjoys it.   She is pretty good at kicking her way to the surface and a friend had her try to climb out of the side of the pool yesterday and she did it!!

Checking out her ribbon & certificate of completion.

Working on her back float with the teachers.
They were great with the kids!
Although they might have been getting tired of asking M not to scream.
I was telling another mom that she is like a tea kettle.
The pressure/excitement just builds up and the squeal just pops out before she knows it.

Front float!!!

And in G News-
She learned how to go up the stairs in 3 DAYS FLAT!!!

She is VERY proud of herself!!

Conversations With My 3 Year Old...

Tonight M was singing the second verse of Jesus Loves Me and she got to the part about how he would prepare a place for her and she would see his face.  She got very serious and said, "Someday I will be older and I will see Jesus and talk with him?"  I asked her if she would like this and she (smiling) said, "YES!"  She then asked, "Will He have a bed for me?"  I told her that of course Jesus would have a bed just for her and that He is preparing a house JUST for her.  Her face said it all, such joy and excitement.

The faith of a child.  Simple.  Innocent.  They get it.  Jesus LOVES us.
